Three of family killed in roof collapse

SAHIWAL, May 22: Three members of a family were killed and two injured in a roof collapse following a thunderstorm and rain at 79/5-L village on Wednesday night.

Reports said the roof of Noor Ahmed’s house collapsed after heavy rain. As a result, Noor, 60, his daughter Akhtar Bibi, 10, and son Sabir Ali, 6, were killed on the spot while his wife Naikan Bibi and daughter Shakeela suffered injuries.

The injured were rushed to hospital.
