HYDERABAD, May 22: The Sindh University authorities have expelled seven students nominated in a murder case of a student for five years and cancelled their admissions while banning their entry into the campus.

The discipline committee of the university at a meeting on Thursday recommended the action. Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui approved the recommendations.

The students who have been nominated in the FIR included, Amjad Zardari, Athar Hussain Solangi, Arshad Ali Hulio, Abdullah Buledi, Ameer Ali Mahar, Zahid Hussain Mugheri and Abu Bakar Mangrio.

They were accused of resorting to firing at a meeting of university students at its hostel last week which resulted into the death of Abdul Nabi Brohi, a student of BS-III Sociology.

Meanwhile, the university convened a meeting to review the law and order situation.
