KARACHI, May 21: Hosts Iran struck once in each half to beat Pakistan 2-0 in the AFC Under-14 Festival of Football (South Asia region) at Tehran’s Shahid Bahonar stadium on Wednesday.

According to the details available here, striker Davood Bahadori drew blood in the 24th minute while midfielder Vahid Najafi Damirchi sealed the fate in the 56th minute.

Pakistan tasted their second successive defeat of the day in the evening when they went down to India by a lone goal which came through Nirvail Sindh in the 21st minute.

In other matches, Nepal scored a solitary goal victory over India, while Bhutan trounced Sri Lanka 2-0 and Afghanistan shocked Maldives 1-0.
