Usman, Imran stand out

KARACHI, May 20: A whirlwind 63-ball century by Usman Farhat helped Dubai Islamic Bank register a narrow 11-run win over Standard Chartered Bank in the seventh AKU Sports Centre tournament on Monday.

Batting first, Dubai Islamic Bank posted 200 for 9 in the allotted 25 overs. Usman smashed 100 including eight fours and four sixes. In reply, Standard Chartered could reach 189 for seven.

Meanwhile, in another match Hong Kong and Shanghai Corporation Bank (HSBC) thrashed ABN-Amro Bank by eight wickets.
