KABUL, May 19: Militants are crossing from Pakistan into Afghanistan hidden among hundreds of families that make the trip daily, an Isaf official said on Monday.

The Isaf is using a range of intelligence and surveillance systems to detect the militants to thwart attacks along the eastern frontier, the Isaf spokesman said.

“The border in Regional Command East is crossed daily by families whose members live in both sides,” Gen Carlos said.

“The insurgents use these movements to disguise their activities and intentions,” he added.—AFP
