LAHORE, May 19: The Punjab governor on Monday accepted the resignation of Advocate General Punjab Aftab Iqbal Chaudhry and directed Additional Advocate General Muhammad Hanif Khatana to perform as acting Advocate General till the new appointment.

The resignation of Aftab Iqbal has been accepted with effect from May 14, 2005.
