KARACHI, May 19: Five suspected women robbers were arrested for robbing some minibus passengers of cash and jewellery on Monday.

A mother and her daughter approached police, complaining that they have lost their gold chain and other valuables in a bus ride. They had boarded the minibus from Malir for Husainabad. On their way, they were deprived of their valuables.

On their lead, police chased the bus and stopped it. They carried out snap checking and arrested the women after the recovery of the lost valuables from their possession. Suspecting that the gang operate in a similar fashion in different buses, police said that interrogation was under way to trace rest of their accomplices.
