BADIN, May 18: The father of Abdul Aleem Rajput, who is said to have been tortured to death in a Jaipur jail a few days ago, has appealed to the government and human rights organisations to help him get his son’s body from India.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Rehmat Ali said the Pakistani authorities had released Indian ‘spies’ to promote relations with that country, but in return received two bodies, first in April and the second in May.

He said that Abdul Aleem had gone to Karachi about four months ago to seek a job. But he later proceeded to India to meet relatives and friends.

While returning to Pakistan, he was detained on the border and killed in a jail.

He said that at the request of Ansar Burney, the government had released convicted spy Kashmir Singh, but the Indian government was reciprocating the gesture by sending bodies.

He said that his son had been arrested without any reason and tortured to death.

He demanded that his body be brought back and buried in his native village in Matli taluka of Badin district.
