MIRPURKHAS, May 18: Residents of Pir colony situated at Khan Road have condemned the builder of the colony for not providing basic facilities after passing seven years of time.

Farooq Durrani, Shamsuddin and other people told journalists that the builder had sold plots seven years ago in Pir colony and at that time he promised in writing to provide basic facilities — electricity, water supply, roads, sewerage system — in the colony but despite repeated complaints, no development work was carried out as result of which the residents were facing hardships.

They further said that the colony was not registered with the taluka municipal administration of Mirpurkhas hence the TMA had declared it illegal and directed the builder to take measures under relevant rules.
