KARACHI, April 29: The education department, government of Sindh, has notified that all government and private schools of primary, middle, and secondary levels will remain closed on April 30 on the occasion of referendum.
However, all other educational institutions, such as universities, colleges, will remain open.
REFERENDUM DUTY: About 200,000 employees of the Sindh Education Department, including teaching and non-teaching staff, have been made available to the Election Commission of Pakistan for referendum duties on April 30.
Education secretary Nazar Hussain Mahar said the holiday on Tuesday will be only for schoolchildren and the staff will have to perform their duties.
He said a directive had been issued to the staff of the Education Department to remain present on referendum day.—PPI/APP
