TIMERGARA, May 14: A jirga of local elders has decided to stone the killers of a child to death and called upon the district administration to hand over the accused to them by May 24, otherwise the Chakdara-Dir road will be blocked.

The mutilated body of the child, who had been kidnapped on May 6, had been found in the nearby fields in the Ouch area on May 12.

The jirga held in Ouch area Chakdara, Lower Dir, was attended by over 65 elders from different areas of the Adenzai tehsil, including Pakistan People’s Party MNA Malak Azmat Khan, former Pakistan Muslim League-Q MPA Ghulamullah Haqani, Ayoub Khan, Maulana Shaha Khalid, Tajamool Khan of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam, Mohammad Zaman Khan of the PPP, Fakhar Zaman Khan of the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf, Qaiser Khan of the Jamaat-i-Islami and Ikram Ghani of the PML-Q.
