RAWALPINDI, May 13: A woman was killed allegedly by her husband in the Westridge police area on Tuesday, police said.

The police have arrested the accused and started investigations. His parents and two brothers, also identified as accused, are yet to be arrested.

Parents of Najma told the police that their daughter was strangulated to death by her husband, Ziafat. According to the police, she was married to Ziafat two years ago but after a few months the couple developed differences which led to separation between them. She left husband’s house and returned to her parents.

A police officer investigating the case said Ziafat’s parents settled the differences between the couple and convinced their daughter-in-law to return to her husband’s house where she was found dead last night.

The official said besides Ziafat, his parents and two brothers had been identified as accused in the murder case.
