Canadian IT market explored

ISLAMABAD, May 13: The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) recently organised a series of networking events and receptions in Canada.

The events were held in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa in which 14 leading IT companies participated.

The Pakistani delegation, comprising PSEB officials and representatives of the participating companies, met the officials of CGI Group, the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance, the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and ministries of research and innovation and economic development and trade, the Equity Feed Corporation, the SNC Lavalin Group and several other leading companies.

According to PSEB’s International Marketing Director Aon Ashraf Rana, the delegation held networking sessions with organisations, such as Envision Mobile, which specialises in enterprise mobility solutions, Cronomagic, which specialises in large-scale database design, implementation and hosting, Credit Link Capital (CLC) Management, investment bankers, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), Deloitte Inc business consultants and several other companies from Markham to help plan, grow and structure businesses.

The representatives of the visiting IT companies from Pakistan gave brief presentations about the scope of their work and relevant areas of expertise, he said.
