LAHORE, May 9: Bilal Tahir and Bilal Attiq cruised into the final of the 3rd National deaf squash championship at the Punjab Squash Complex here on Friday.

Four quarter-finals were played in the first session while the second saw the playing of both the semi-finals.

Bilal Tahir carved out a straight win for himself in the first semi-final against Sajid Nawaz, the score being 10-8, 9-5, 9-0. Later, Bilal Attiq totally overpowered Saleem Malik in the second semi-final to win it by 9-2, 6-9, 9-4, 5-9, 9-4.

Earlier, in the first quarter-finals, Bilal Attiq defeated Salman Nawaz 9-2, 9-0. Bilal Tahir proved too good against Wasif, the score being 9-6, 9-3. Saleem Malik made little work of Nauman before earning a 9-0, 9-0 win. Meanwhile, Sajid Nawaz powered his way to oust Mohammad Ali 9-1, 9-2 in the last quarter-final.
