RAWALPINDI, May 8: Candidates who filed their nominations for by-poll on May 6 are required to file their papers afresh under the revised schedule announced on Wednesday.

Talking to Dawn, ECP secretary Kanwar Dilshad said the commission had announced on May 5 that by-polls would be held on August 18 and the notification did not include May 6 as a date for submission of papers. He said that under the new notification, by-polls would be held on June 26 and the nominations could be filed from May 8 to 13 and those who had filed their papers on May 6 would have to submit papers again.—Staff Reporter
