quits as nazim

NAWABSHAH, May 5: District Nazim Faryal Talpur has resigned from her office on Monday.

Ms Talpur, sister of PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, was nominated by PPP as a candidate for NA-207 seat.

Talking to this correspondent, Ms Talpur said she had submitted her resignation to Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, who had accepted it.

Before filing nomination, according to SLGO rules, it was mandatory for her to resign from the post of district nazim.

After Ms Talpur’s resignation, naib nazim Abdul Haq Jamali, has been entrusted with powers of the district nazim.
