SIALKOT, May 3: Police are yet unable to find any clue about the culprits who kidnapped Umer Idrees Bajwa, the son of PML-N district president Idrees Ahmad Bajwa, for a couple of hours on Friday.

Umer Bajwa was on his way home in suburban Buttar village when unidentified culprits kidnapped him. However, they abandoned him at a deserted place a few hours later and fled.

Locals have expressed concern over the incident and demanded early arrest of the culprits.

SUSPENDED: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema on Saturday suspended from service six station house officer (SHOs) of this district for inefficiency and corruption.

Those placed under suspension are Inspector Razzaq Warraich, Pasrur Sadar SHO, Inspector Malik Adnan, Sialkot Rangpura SHO, Inspector Rana Zahid Hussain, Sialkot Sadar SHO, Inspector Azam Dhillun, Sambrial SHO, Inspector Asif Khan, Daska City SHO, and Inspector Aziz Cheema, Badiana SHO.

These SHOs were not allowed to attend the RPO’s meeting held here on Saturday.
