DADU, May 2: Illegal promotions in education department across Sindh made by the PML-Q-led and caretaker governments will be cancelled and directives in this regard have been issued.
Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Pir Mazhar-ul Haq said on Thursday that he had directed secretary education Shafeeq Ahmed Khoso to cancel all such promotions.
Pir Mazhar was speaking at an open katchehry in his home town, Dadu, during a two-day visit of his constituency.
He said that jobs would be provided to unemployed youth and an inquiry would be launched into embezzlement of funds which were not used on schools.
He said the previous government had sold jobs in thousands of rupees but the PPP government would give jobs without any bribe.He warned teachers to perform their duties otherwise action would be taken against them.
He announced to set up an IT department with a cost of Rs30 million in the government girls degree college, Dadu.
He also announced construction of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto College of Management Sciences in Dadu with a cost of Rs100 million.
He said that a new library would be constructed with latest facilities in city. He also announced Rs50 million for drainage and directed the revenue department to provide two acres of land for a ladies park in Dadu.
