May Day rally in Quetta

Published May 2, 2008

QUETTA, May 1: Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi said on Thursday that the history of Pakistan People’s Party was full of sacrifices and its leaders and workers struggled for democracy and workers’ rights.

The deputy speaker, PPP Balochistan president Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani and other leaders of the party were speaking at a public meeting held here to mark May Day.

Mr Kundi said all resources would be used to solve the problems of workers. He thanked the people for reposing confidence in the leadership of the PPP and said that the party would meet the expectations of the people.

Mr Raisani said May Day would always remind the underprivileged to unite and “snatch their rights from the exploiters”.

Various other programmes were also held in Balochistan to mark May Day.
