ISLAMABAD, April 30: A pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a speeding vehicle while two motorcyclists died in separate incidents, police said here on Wednesday.

Hafiz Abdul Rahman suffered multiple injuries when a speeding vehicle hit him while he was walking along roadside at Jhangi Saydan.

He was taken to nearby hospital where he died of his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was managed to escape from the scene.

A teenager, Sohail Abbasi, suffered multiple injuries in a motorcycle and taxi collusion near Bhara Kahu. Sohail, 17, was taken to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

Another motorcyclist, Sajid Hussain, suffered multiple injures when a car hit him at I-11/4. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where he died. The police arrested the car driver and also impounded the vehicle.

Meanwhile, three vehicles were stolen from different parts of the twin cities.

In the first incident a Toyota Corolla (LRG-9096) of Shafiqur Rahman was stolen from the parking area of Capital Development Authority.

In the second incident Altaf Baig’s Honda CG-125 model 2007, bearing registration number LL-526 was lifted from G-9/1.

Likewise, a Suzuki Cary model 1993 bearing registration number IDS-6318 was stolen from Military Hospital. Bashir Pracha, a composer in Dawn came to the radiology department of the hospital for the treatment of his relative. He had parked the vehicle in the parking area and went inside the hospital.— Staff Reporter
