Couple slain over property dispute

GUJRANWALA, April 28: A man shot dead his elder brother and sister-in-law (his brother’s wife) over a property row before setting their house on fire in Gill Road area on Monday.

Police said accused Asif had a residential land dispute with Arshad. On Monday, the accused entered Arshad’s house and opened fire on the couple. Later, he set the house on fire which also burnt the bodies.

A Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and saved the minor children of Arshad who were hospitalized with burn injuries.
