MITHI, April 27: Seven candidates have obtained nomination forms for the PS-62 Nagarparkar seat, which has fallen vacant after the death of Arbab Haji Abdullah of the Pakistan Muslim League, who had won the Sindh Assembly seat in Feb 18 elections.

Those who have obtained the forms are: Arbab Naimatullah of the PML, Sharjil Memon of the Pakistan People’s Party, Abdul Ghani Khoso, Gul Mohammad Memon, Haji Ghulam Mohammad Laat and Amanullah Talpur.

The by-election will be held on June 18.

FIRE: As many as 45 houses were gutted when a fire broke out in village Janjhi of tehsil Chhachhro on Saturday.

Fire broke out at about 2pm at a house of Jessar Mohalla and soon spread to the surrounding houses. It destroyed grain, fodder and other household items.

Residents and people of adjoining villages rushed to extinguish the fire however, it could not be brought under control till last reports.

Union Council Nazim Abdul Subhan Sodho while talking to Dawn on Sunday said that many houses were reduced to ashes due to the fire.
