SUKKUR, April 23: A woman was shot dead by armed men on the pretext of Karo-Kari on Bharo link road in Sarhad police station’s area in district Ghotki on Wednesday.

The wife of Waryam Shaikh was going to village Manghan Shaikh with a man on a motorcycle.

When they reached at Bharo link road, four armed men intercepted them and opened fire at the woman and killed her on the spot.

Local people claimed that reason for the killing was Karo-Kari.

No case was registered till the filing of this report.

Meanwhile, a villager was kidnapped by dacoits near village Mohammad Pur near Ubauro on Wednesday night.

Amir Bux Chachar, a resident of village Mohammad Pur, was coming from village Ubauro and when he reached near his village dacoits kidnapped him and took him away.
