LAHORE, April 22: Lufthansa airline has decided to resume its operations from Lahore in the near future.

This was stated by Lufthansa’s country manager Tobias Ernst at a meeting with Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry acting president Mian Muzaffar Ali on Tuesday.

He said that resumption of flights by the airlines would help in opening new avenues of investment. Pakistan, being the sixth largest country of the world in terms of population, offers a huge potential for any airlines, he added.

Welcoming the airlines decision to resume operations from the provincial metropolis as a step in the right direction, the CCI acting president said that foreign brand names could benefit from the opening of Pakistan’s trade with Central Asia and the development of South Asia economic region. Any investment in Pakistan could help in export of products to the regional countries, he added.
