SBA name squad

KARACHI, April 19: The Sindh Badminton Association (SBA) has announced an 11-member team for the 51st National badminton championship which is being played at Pakistan Sports Complex’s Rodham Hall, Islamabad, from April 21 to 27.

Ahsan Qamar who will lead the team will also defend the men’s singles crown in the country’s premier badminton championship. The team consists of seven men, four women and four officials.

Team — Men’s: Ahsan Qamar (captain), Imran Mohib, Mohammad Ali, Asad Shaikh, Farhan, Abdullah and Hasan Zaidi.

Women’s: Monisha Kotia, Mahira, Humaira Raees and Mehwish Zaman.

Officials: Zaki Kamali (manager), Ayesha (ladies manager), Rifat Mohiuddin (coach) and Mohammad Ateeq (technical official).—Sports Correspondent
