Balochistan CM: Baloch-istan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani has again appealed to militants to leave their mountain position and hold talks for restoring peace in the province.

Talking to reporters at the Chief Minister Secretariat here on Thursday, he said both sides should announce a truce in order to end the unrest in the province.

Federal Minister for Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Syed Khurshid Shah and MNA Ejaz Jhakrani were present on the occasion.

“I again appeal to my brethren to come to the negotiating table for the sake of peace in the province,” Nawab Raisani said.

Replying to a question, he said there was no need of forming a committee of tribal elders because he himself was a senior member of the tribal system.

“I am capable of resolving the issues concerning the province,” Nawab Raisani said.

He reiterated all issues pertaining to Balochistan should be resolved through talks.

The banned Baloch Liberation Army and Baloch Republican Army have so far rejected the offer of negotiations, terming it a defeat of the government.
