NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, April 17: The additional sessions judge of Kandiaro issued non-bailable arrest warrants against former SHO of Kandiaro in two cases after cancelling his application for bail here on Thursday.

The sessions judge Khwaja Asif issued the orders against the former police official Inayat Qureshi for his failure to attend hearing of cases in the court.

In one case the complainant had accused the former SHO of picking up a boy Aamir Rajpar from Salah Rajpar village in August 2006 and subjecting him to torture over a petty dispute at Shah Jamal police picket. The boy’s relatives had filed an application before a Justice of Peace after which the case had been registered.

In the other case, a complainant Hakim Ali Mangrio registered a case accusing the SHO of looting valuables from him about one and a half years ago. The police official was on bail in this case but the judge cancelled his bail and also issued notices to his sureties in the two cases.

ARRESTED: Kandiaro police claimed to have arrested an absconder after a brief encounter with him and his companions on Kamal Dero link road late on Tuesday night.

Police claimed that they caught hold of Allah Dino alias Dino Mangrio, who was wanted to them in five cases, while his four companions managed to escape.

Police who claimed to have found a single barrel gun in his possession told journalists that the accused was involved in murders and robbery. Reliable sources claimed that the accused had been arrested a week ago but police had disclosed his arrest on Thursday.

SUSPENDED: Sukkur’s Regional Police Officer Mohammad Bachal Sangri on Thursday suspended ASI Allah Wadhayo Mahessar of Kandiaro police, who had arrested an old man Gullan on Tuesday and let him be tortured by a private person.
