PESHAWAR, Oct 6: A leader of Pakistan People’s Party (Sherpao), Sikandar Hayat Sherpao, said on Saturday that the broader understanding between London and Islamabad would bring about economic and political stability in the whole region, particularly in Pakistan.

In a statement, he expressed optimism over the talks between British Prime Minister Tony Blair and President Pervez Musharraf, saying that it would strengthen the relations between the two countries.

He also welcomed the assurance held out by Mr Blair to extend support to Pakistan in its effort to get $2.5 million loan from the IMF.
