LAHORE, April 10: The All-Pakistan Trade Union Federation has accused the caretaker setup of engineering disturbances in Karachi and arranging manhandling of Arbab Rahim and Sher Afgan Niazi for giving an excuse to the opposition to criticise the new government.

Condemning the killing of 12 innocent people and arson in Karachi during a meeting held here on Thursday, federation secretary-general Gulzar Chaudhry and other leaders said the caretakers had engineered the incidents through intelligence agencies to create trouble for the new government.

They said the caretakers were responsible for disturbances in Karachi and manhandling of Arbab Rahim and Sher Afgan because the incidents had taken place when the new governments had not been installed in the provinces yet. —Reporter
