Black warrants issued for two

GUJRANWALA, April 22: The Anti-Terrorism Court No 2 issued death warrants for two condemned prisoners of Bhatteki, Wazirabad, and fixed May 7 for their execution here on Monday.

According to the prosecution, Dildar and Shauket had killed ASI Khalid Javed. The ATC had handed down death sentence to them on April 28, 1999. The high court also upheld the ATC decision.

THREE KILLED: Three people were killed in traffic mishaps in and around the city here on Monday.

Nasim Kauser was on his way to Sialkot by his vehicle from Gujranwala. Near Aroop, his vehicle rammed into a roadside tree as a result of which he died on the spot.

Qasim of Chand Da Qila was killed in a collision between a pick-up and a motorcycle on the Sialkot Road. He was on his way to Nandipur by his motorcycle.

Waris Masih of Lahore was run over by a Peshawar-bound bus near Eminabad. He was crossing the road. He died on the spot.
