Protest against revenue official

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, April 9: Around 25 tapedars and kotars (revenue officials) staged a protest against the mukhtiarkar revenue of Moro, outside his office on Wednesday.

The protesters alleged that Mukhtiarkar Anwar Memon was demanding bribe for legitimate works of people and used abusive language to insult the tapedars and kotars.

The officials of the revenue department continued their protest on second consecutive day on Wednesday against the mukhtiarkar. The tapedars took out a rally and reached outside the mukhtiarkar’s office and observed token hunger strike for about four hours.

They demanded of the chief minister of Sindh to transfer him and initiate inquiry against him.

POOR LAW AND ORDER: The members of taluka council of Naushahro Feroze expressed concern over deteriorating law and order situation in the taluka here on Wednesday.

Naib Nazim Ghulam Hussain Mastoi presided over the meeting.
