KARACHI, April 22: Twenty-three vehicles — 10 cars and 13 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Monday, the police said.

Six cars were hijacked and four others stolen in Korangi Industrial Area, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, North Nazimabad, Samanabad, and Kharadar police limits.

Four motorcycles were hijacked and nine others stolen in Gulberg, Orangi Extension, Baghdadi, Sachal, and Taimuria police limits.

The police also claimed on Monday to have recovered four vehicles (T-607, KAK-2282, KCA-510 and KCS-1240) in Tipu Sultan, Korangi, Manghopir, and Soldier Bazaar.

SHOT DEAD: An Afghan national was shot dead in the police limits of Gulzar-i-Hijri on late Sunday night.

The police said that Rasool Khan, aged 35, arrived in the city from Jalalabad, to attend the wedding of a relation, unidentified people shot him to death before the wedding.
