KARACHI: Couple gunned down

KARACHI, April 6: A middle-aged couple were shot dead in their Shah Latif Town area house on Sunday. Police said a 45-year-old man and his 40-year-old wife were shot dead in their house in Umer Marvi Goth late in the evening.

The victims were identified as Manthar Ali Shaikh and Zarina. Both of them received multiple bullet wounds. Area SHO Inspector Asadullah Mangi said the incident was motivated by personal enmity as the couple had married against the consent of the woman’s family some five years ago.—Staff Reporter
