PA session soon: Magsi

QUETTA, March 29: The governor of Balochistan, Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi has assured newly elected members of the provincial assembly that he will try to get the session of the assembly convened as soon as possible.

He said this during a luncheon he hosted in honour of MPAs-elect at the Governor House here on Saturday.

“I will talk to President Musharraf for an early assembly session,” he said, adding that he would make effort to do so.

The members-elect headed by Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani, the PPP candidate for the chief minister’s post in Balochistan, attended the luncheon.

Nawab Raisani and parliamentary leaders of other parties during the meeting with Governor Magsi to call the session of the Balochistan assembly either on March 31 or April 1 instead of April 7.
