KARACHI, March 28: Three ships carrying containers and furnace oil arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Berth occupancy was managed at 60pc at the wharves where seven ships, Tiran Island, Transport, African Zebra, Artaki, Al-Soor-II, Dong Sheng Ocean and Jiaho, were busy in loading and unloading cement, palm oil, wheat, diesel oil, iron ore and coke.

A cargo volume of 28,546 tons comprising 27,712 tons of import and 834 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Al-Soor-II, Dong Sheng Ocean, Transport and Artaki sailed out.

Five ships, New Delhi Express, Maersk Novazzano, Word Majesty, Pontonikis and Al-Debaran were expected to arrive at the outer anchorage.
