LAHORE, March 27: Raheela Bano earned her first gold medal for Wapda when she clocked 41.40 seconds to win the 500-metre Time Trial race here on the opening day of the National women’s cycling championship on Thursday.

Rashida Munir also of Wapda earned the silver medal, covering the distance in 44.11 seconds.

Neelam Riaz of Punjab claimed the bronze medal, clocking 47.62 seconds.

Meanwhile, Wapda, Railways, Punjab and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) have qualified for the finals in the team event after bagging the top four positions in the heats.
