KARACHI, March 26: Not a single candidate could secure A-1 grade in the Intermediate Commerce (regular and private) supplementary examinations-2007 conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi.

According to the results announced on Wednesday, a total of 9,898 candidates (7,991 male and 1,907 female) appeared in the examination and 4,429 (3,509 male and 920 female) of them were declared pass. The pass percentage stood at 44.75.

While none of the successful candidates secured A-1 grade, only five (three male and two female) secured A grade and 46 (29 male and 17 female) obtained B grade.

The statistics show that 722 candidates (510 male and 212 female) passed the exams in C grade, 3,278 (2,644 male and 634 female) in D grade and 375 (320 male and 55 female) in E grade.

The marks sheets of the regular candidates will be issued to their respective institutions within two weeks whereas the private candidates will get the same at their postal address.
