LARKANA, March 20: Sanam Bhutto, the sister of assassinated PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto, is reported to have discussed with District Coordination Officer (DCO) Larkana Ghulam Mustafa Phull issues relating to the division of Bhutto Estate’s property.

Sources told Dawn on Thursday that the division of the property was possible only with the consent of all the parties concerned. Any party could submit an application to the deputy district officer revenue for the purpose, they added.

At present the Bhuttos have joint property under the title of ‘Bhutto Estate’.

Sources in the revenue department said that Sanam Bhutto had submitted an application for the purpose and the matter would be decided in the light of the revenue record after preparation of a ‘proposal’.

They said Sanam Bhutto had given the power of attorney to Riaz Phulpoto, who looks after the Bhutto Estate.

Mr Phulpoto played an important role in resolving a property dispute between Benazir Bhutto and Ghinwa Bhutto some time ago.

The sources said Sanam Bhutto along with Khursheed Junejo, a former district nazim of Larkana, visited Bhutto farms on the outskirts of Naudero on Thursday.

She met farmers and granted contracts of two farms to Khalid Memon and Ghous Bakhsh Bhutto, they added.

According to the sources, Sanam Bhutto had informed the farmers that she herself would look after the affairs of the estate and visit the area regularly.
