Imran’s father passes away

LAHORE, March 19: Ikramullah Niazi, father of cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, expired at the Shaukat Khanum hospital here on Wednesday. He was 85.

His funeral prayers will be held at 9am on Thursday at 2-Zaman Park.

Born in Mianwali, Ikramullah Niazi was a civil engineer by profession. He had been seriously ill for four months and was admitted to the Shaukat Khanum Hospital last month. He has left behind one son and four daughters.
