KARACHI, March 19: Five ships carrying steel, containers and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Western Star, Oel Trust, APL Amman to unload and load containers, Vemacape, an oil tanker and Eser Kaptanoglu to unload imported wheat were berthed on Wednesday.

Sailing was also active as seven vessels, including Mol Ability, Kapitan Byankin, Atyaab, Pacific Tourmaline, Atlantic Express, Luck Fortune, and Jawahar Lal Nehru departed on Wednesday, while Cap Colorado, Emerald Park, Vemacape, Kosmos, Red Sea Spirit, Lady Tramp, APL Amman, and Western Star are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.130m tons comprising 21,402 tons of export tonnage and 0.108m tons of imported cargo was handled on Wednesday.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Gopa, to load 27,500 tons of molasses, Marc Thrcctum, APL Tulip,and Calvin P. Titus, with containers and Aqua Star with steel cargo.
