LAHORE, March 18: Around 1,000 Eid-i-Milad processions will be held in the city on Friday as the main procession will be taken out from the Railway Station up to the Data Darbar.

Organisers of the main procession, Malik Aftab Rabbani and Ijaz Momen, told a press conference here on Tuesday that the district administration would make strict security arrangements for the processions in view of the law and order situation. At least 500 policemen would be deployed along the main procession.

They said all kinds of dance and music would be prohibited during the processions while any provocation against any religious sect would also be banned.

The main procession would be led by parliamentarians while noted judges, senior officials and representatives from all walks of life would also participate in it.
