HYDERABAD, March 15: The journalist community and students staged protest demonstrations in different parts of Sindh against the publication of blasphemous caricatures in Danish Media on Saturday.

The Hyderabad Union of Journalists, electronic media and members of Hyderabad Press Club and senior journalists staged a protest demonstration outside the press club against the publication of blasphemous images.

They demanded of the government to sever diplomatic and trade relations with Denmark.

Our Mirpurkhas correspondent adds: A protest rally was taken out here by the Islami Jamiat Talba from Market chowk against the publications of blasphemous caricatures.

They carried banners and placards and marched on main road.

Addressing the rally at the Market chowk the speakers demanded of the Pakistani government to take initiative in the matter and resolve the issue.

They burnt effigies of the editors of the Danish newspapers and Denmark political leaders.
