LAHORE, March 14: Garrison ‘A’ team with a score of 204 emerged as the first-day leader in the Corps Commander Golf Cup here at the Lahore Garrison on Friday.

The team, comprising Maj. Nisar Khan, Ch. Salluhudin and Arshad Mehmood, personified consistency without any lapse during the 18 holes. Maj. Nisar had a most colourful round with a score of 67 net, Ch. Sallahudin 68 and Arshad Mehmood 69.

Garrison ‘B’ with a score of 208 are in second position while the Lahore Gymkhana, two strokes behind, are third.

Amongst the individual performers, Lt Col Bashir leads with 64 net and Salman Jehangir from Lahore Gymkhana posted a net card of 66 to come second. Other performers in the individual net category are Maj Nisar 67, Dr Dildar Hussain 67, Col Sallahudin 68, Col Salman Aslam 68, Abdul Zahoor 69, Irfan Maqbool 71, Hamza Amin 71, Danyaal Jehangir 71, Fawad Baig 71, M. Rehman 72, Murad Khan 72, Ahsan Khawaja 72 and Shahzad Ali 72.

Ladies and Seniors tee off Saturday for a two-day competition.
