MUZAFFARABAD, April 17: At least five people, including four of a family, were injured in Azad Kashmir on Wednesday in unprovoked Indian shelling from across the Line of Control, an official said.
Indian troops resorted to shelling in Tatta Pani sector without any provocation using machine-guns and mortars, Police Superintendent Raja Ghulam Sarwar told Dawn.
He said a shell landed in a house in Goi village, injuring Munshi Khan, his wife Khatoon Begum and daughters, Zahida Bibi and Sadia.
In the Samahni sector, 12-year-old Sohail Jat was injured in Nihala Baroh village when Indians targeted the area on Wednesday afternoon.—Staff Correspondent
