MINGORA, March 11: Eleven people were killed and two were wounded when a vehicle carrying them plunged into river Swat near Kalam on Tuesday evening, police said.
The victims, reportedly belonging to one family, were returning from Karachi. After hectic search, local people could find only two bodies, that of a woman and a child.
The two injured passengers who were unconscious were taken to a local hospital.
The search for bodies is likely to be resumed on Wednesday morning.
