ISLAMABAD, March 7: The Pakistan Standard and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) has notified fee rates for application, licence, marking and inspection of industrial goods.

A notification issued by the PSQCA on Friday said the fees would be collected from April 1.

According to the notification, the fee for application for Pakistan Standard (PS) marking of brand will be Rs1,000.

The annual licence fee will be Rs5,000 and a marking fee on an article or a process will be at the rate of 0.1 per cent of the ex-factory price of the product or brand.

In addition, an inspection fee of Rs5,000, not inclusive of conveyance and accommodation charges, shall be paid by the applicant.

The notification said that anyone contravening any provision of the notification would be liable to punishment with imprisonment extend to one year or fine which would not be less than Rs50, 000, or both.
