Two women among six murdered

FAISALABAD, April 16: Six people, including two women, were murdered in separate incidents in various parts of the district.

A group of armed men attacked the house of Bashir Ahmad in Satiana on Monday night and opened indiscriminate fire to take revenge of an old enmity. Bashir Ahmad and his wife, Nusrat Bibi, sustained serious bullet injuries and died on the spot.

Area police have registered a case against Saleem and Sultan.

One Boota axed to death his daughter, Shagufta Parveen, and her lover, Bilal, in Chak 195-GB, Sammundri.

Boota later surrendered to police.

Three brothers — Abdullah, Ashraf and Mushtaq Ahmad — developed an altercation over the distribution of land in Chak 497-GB.

On Tuesday, following an exchange of hot words on the issue, Abdullah attacked his brothers with a sharp weapon injuring them seriously. Both the injured were taken to hospital where Ashraf died. The condition of Mushtaq was stated to be critical.

An 11-year-old girl was murdered after being raped allegedly by two vagabonds, Shahnawaz and Qaiser, in Chak 275-JB on Tuesday.

Police have arrested both the accused.
