BSEK clinch zonal final

KARACHI, March 4: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) overwhelmed the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) by four wickets to clinch the Pakistan Inter-board Cricket Championship zonal final in Multan on Tuesday.

Batting first, the BIEK were dismissed for 79. Rameez Aziz, Talha Shafi and Fawad Khan shared nine wickets among them.

The BSEK, in reply, romped home for the loss of six wickets. Rameez Aziz scored 25 and Mohammad Afzal made 15 not out. Maroof Aziz took three wickets.

Both secondary and intermediate board teams of Karachi will now meet the winners and runners-up of Zone-II in crisscross in the semi-final on Thursday in Lahore. The final will be contested on Friday.—APP
