LAHORE, March 3: A man shot dead his brother and brother-in-law and injured three others, including another brother, over a property dispute in Mochi Gate on Monday.

Mochi Gate supervisory police officer Muhammad Akram told Dawn that Shahbaz, Ishtiaq and Abbas, residents of Sadakaran Bazaar, had a joint commercial property, including a plaza, near their house.

Ishtiaq and Abbas developed a dispute with their brother, Shahbaz, over the possession of the plaza after which Shahbaz managed to get a stay order from the court, he said.

On the day of the incident, Ishtiaq, Abbas, Shahbaz’s brother-in-law Mahmood Aziz and others visited Shahbaz at the latter’s shop for reconciliation. During conversation, both sides exchanged hot words.
