LARKANA, March 3: Disheartened by torture by her husband almost daily, a woman committed suicide by consuming pesticides in Punhal Jamali village in the jurisdiction of Imam Bakhsh Jamali village on Sunday.

She was sold to Ashique Ali for Rs95,000 only. She chose the extreme step to get rid of her husband’s tortures, sources said.

Father of the deceased alleged that his son-in-law tortured Parveen and a case against him was registered with the concerned police station. Police began probe into the incident.

Girl dies: A stray bullet hit and killed an innocent girl Hakimzadi 10, as she got trapped in the cross fire between two rival groups of Chandio tribe near Warah town on Monday.

Abdul Ghaffar Chandio was fired at near Gul Buriro village. This resulted in firing between the rivals in which an innocent girl Hakimzadi, who had nothing to do with the feud, was hit by a bullet and died.
